Title: Playing with Radar at St Andrews University

Abstract:

The researchers at St Andrews Uni love building innovative cutting-edge radar systems. I had the privilege to work with these people on some of those radars for six glorious months

Bio:

Graham Brooker has over 40 years radar experience, having worked for 20 years in industry before joining the Australian Centre for Field Robotics in 1999. During his time in industry he developed radar systems for both defence and industrial clients, culminating in a state-of-the-art imaging seeker.

Since joining the University of Sydney, he has developed numerous ranging and imaging systems for mining clients and DSTG. These mostly operate in the millimetre wave bands at 77 and 94 GHz. His radars have been installed in mines worldwide. He has published two books (one into its 2nd edition), numerous book chapters and over one hundred journal and conference papers, most as first author.
