Title: The Informativeness of Sampling from Conjugate Priors & Pasture Simulations

Abstract:

In the first part of my presentation, I will discuss my IROS submission covering the statistic models I have developed to determine the expected information gain of sampling from a measure’s conjugate prior. This system addresses the different forms uncertainty can take before and after a measurement is made.

In the second part of my presentation, I will briefly discuss my future work with the agriculture group geared towards autonomously monitoring pasture health. 

Bio:

Conrad is part of the Agriculture group with the Australian Centre for Field Robotics. 

In his time with the group, he has applied my background in math and statistics to autonomous research systems, with the objective of optimizing sampling actions taken by autonomous research robotics.
